Local Advocacy

Why it matters
Your school district’s governing board makes decisions each and every year about how your district will offer music and who will have access to those programs. These decisions are often a result of budgetary decisions, so keep an eye on your school district’s budget throughout the year. As a member of your school district, you are invited to give your feedback and suggestions to your governing body and district administrators. Your Voice Matters.

Your leaders will be looking to you for data on why music education is important, and stories about its impact on your community.
